Silicon Valley Visual Arts is committed to bring artist and the art-loving public together to both enjoy and understand the process of creating fine art. Our major programs are described below.
Silicon Valley Open Studios is one of the oldest traditions of the Bay Area: each year artists from South San Francisco to Gilroy open their studios to the public to share the magic of art. Today, with over 300 artists, SVOS is a fast growing program with multi-faceted presence throughout the area - in communities, various school programs and other initiatives. This free event lets lovers discover exciting new artistic talent, or get up close and personal with some of your favorite artists.
Throughout this free event, art-lovers have a chance to view and enjoy a vast variety of visual expression, including painting, mixed media, photography, sculpture, jewelry, calligraphy, ceramics, fiber arts, pottery, mosaics, metal work, glass, drawing, printmaking, watercolor, woodworking and many more unique and creative one-of-a-kind works or art.
